MapPal

Terms of Service

Last updated: May 20, 2026

These terms govern your use of MapPal. By creating an account you agree to them. We have kept them short and readable.

Who can use MapPal

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding agreement. One account per person. You are responsible for activity on your account.

How to behave

  • Be honest. Your profile, photos, and trips must represent the real you.
  • No harassment, hate, threats, or unwanted sexual advances. Ever.
  • No spam, scams, solicitation, or commercial promotion.
  • Respect a no. Declining a request or ending a chat is always acceptable.
  • Do not share another traveler's private details without their consent.

Meeting other travelers — your safety

MapPal introduces travelers; it does not vet them. We provide verification signals, reporting, blocking, and meetup tools, but you decide who to meet and you do so at your own risk. Meet first in public, daytime places. Tell someone your plans. Use the in-app safety tools. If you feel unsafe, contact local emergency services.

Content you create

You keep ownership of your profile, photos, and messages. You grant MapPal the limited licence needed to display them to other travelers as part of the service. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share.

Enforcement

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or put other travelers at risk — including, where warranted, without prior notice. You can delete your account at any time from your settings.

Service & liability

MapPal is provided “as is.” We work to keep it running and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not responsible for the conduct of other travelers, whether online or in person. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be surfaced in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
